Granada (Andalusia), in southern Spain; it derives from crosses between old breeds of Spanish pigeons and the gouged Laudino Sivigliano. It was recognized as a breed around 1950.

Large columbus with large chest, large head, short beak, equipped with well developed nasal caruncles and warts placed in the lower part of the beak.
